Student Admission Requirements
Children who have reached the age of five by December can apply. No age restriction for adults.

Class Time

All classes are on Saturdays from 9:30 am - 12:00 noon. The school year is usually from mid September to mid June.

Tuition

1 Tuition fee will be announced by the School Administrative Committee every year.

2 Please make the cheque payable to: Manitoba Academy of Chinese Studies£¨MACS).

3 Tuition includes: Textbook£¨$12) and exercise book($10). If you lost the book, you will have to pay for the new one.

4 Refund policy£ºIf you choose to withdraw within the first two weeks of school, you will get your tuition back subtract the registration fee. There will be no refunds after the first two weeks of school.

School Fees (2008 - 2009)

* All students will be charged for $10 non-refundable registration fee per school year.

Kindergarten to Grade 10

  Annual Payment: $170*
  Two Installments (First Term): $85*; (Second Term): $95

Adult Chinese Class

  Annual Payment: $180*
  Two Installments:(First Term): $90*; (Second Term): $100

Math Class or Tai Ji Class

  Annual Payment: $170*
  Two Installments(First Term): $85*; (Second Term): $95.00
  **Tai Ji Class - Seniors (65 or over) will enjoy 50% discount in annual fees.**

Chinese Painting Class or Martial Arts Class

  MACS Students:
            - Annual Payment: $160
            - Two Installments(First Term): $85; (Second Term): $85
  Non MACS Students:
            - Annual Payment: $160*
            - Two Installments(First Term): $90*; (Second Term): $90

  Please bring your own painting supplies for Chinese Painting Class.

Import information:

• Each family will pay $20 supervision fees which is refunable once you have volunteered four times per academy year. Exemption of paying this fee will only apply to those families who have a member already working in different committees or teaching a class in the school.
